The Word became flesh and dwelt among us

Born to a peasant virgin and carpenter

Born in a Manger and laid in a crib made of feeding trough

Visited by shepherds and Gentiles from the East

His birth threatened the political and spiritual status quo

Dedicated to the Lord with the sacrifice of the poor – pigeons and turtle doves

Grew up in a village from which no good could come

Born to Die

Yet……………

He is the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace
